Welcome to this special adventure that will take us to the northern savannah parks of Uganda, East Africa.
Voted Africa’s third-best wilderness park in 2013 CNN Travel Awards as the most picturesque national park. This safari will take you through Kidepo Valley National Park and Murchison Falls National Park, the largest protected area and one of the most exciting with its centerpiece Murchison Falls as the most electrifying sight of its type in East Africa
You are in for a real treat.
Both parks are the last original habitats of the endangered Rothschild’s giraffe also known as the Uganda giraffe plus hosting over 470 bird species from the very common yellow-billed kite, Jackson’s hornbill to the common ostrich, tawny eagle and many other vultures.
Will also have the opportunity to experience the unique cultural heritage of the Karamojong people.
Last but not least will be tracking the rhinos at the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary before we return to the city or home not forgetting the boat cruise on the Nile.

You will be picked up by our guide and transferred from Airport to your Hotel in Kampala or Entebbe town. Depending on your arrival time we could do a mini city tower and you may as well have an opportunity to do any last minute shopping for the trip.
Our journey will start in the morning after we pick you up from the city hotel and drive through Kampala and its suburbs. We will make a few stops on the way so you can experience some local markets with our street food delicacies.
We will make a stopover for lunch at Acholi Inn, Gulu District, after which we will continue to Kitgum – check in at your lodge.
We will have an early breakfast, check out and drive to Kidepo Valley National Park passing through the unique Karamajong villages (manyattas).
Check in and lunch at the lodge. Once settled in, we can opt for an evening game drive to catch a bit of wildlife and expect the drive to be approx. 3hrs.
We will start with an early breakfast then head out for the morning game drive on the search for one of the most exciting wildlife diversity, such as elephant, lion, Cape buffalo, giraffe, the elusive cheetah and ostrich.
We will be on the lookout for amazing birdlife variety as well as drive to the Kanangorok Hot Springs. Drive back to the lodge to relax and have lunch.
In the afternoon, head out for a cultural tour to the Karamojong people for a truly unique experience. The Karamojong culture is still pure and totally unique from most other tribes in Uganda; they have rejected civilization and still live like in the ancient times. The Karamojong are predominantly pastoralists and live purposely to fight for their cattle as it is in their belief that every cattle in the world belongs to them. Dinner and overnight stay.
We will get up early to catch the beautiful sunrise, have breakfast.
There will be an opportunity for another game drive. In Kidepo every drive is unique presenting different unique sights and here again expect to increase your game count.
Return to the lodge to check out and transfer to Kitgum or Gulu where you will enjoy lunch and spend the rest of the day relaxing at your hotel.
After an early delicious morning breakfast, we will check out and drive to Murchison Falls National Park through the Northern Sector.
Enjoy viewing different animals on our way to the lodge through the park such as elephants, giraffes, buffaloes among others.
We will have lunch at Paraa Safari Lodge and there will be an option of going for an evening game drive in search of the big cats.
It’s an early start for us to search for wildlife including the Uganda kob, elephants, giraffes, lions, Jackson hartebeest which might take between 3 to 4 hours game drive.
We will head back to the lodge for lunch and thereafter for the Nile safari – boat cruise to the bottom of most powerful Murchison Falls and there will be an opportunity to hike to the top of falls.
We will be met by our driver to bring us back to our accommodation.
It will be an early start as we will be visiting the territory of the southern white rhinos on foot.
Well-trained rangers will guide you through the bush to where the rhinos are on the day of your visit. Expect to catch these endangered, magnificent creatures in their natural habitat. As these they are free to move around on 7 000 hectares of land.
You may also encounter a range of other wildlife species including Uganda kobs, oribis, bush bucks, water bucks among others and a number of other bird species.
After our tracking we will embark on our journey to Kampala with a stop for lunch.
